  • a tablespoon of agave syrup, or honey

For the cream:

  • 2 tablespoons carob powder, or cocoa
  • a teaspoon of peanut butter
  • Coconut milk
  • a tablespoon of agave syrup, or honey

* For decoration I used a banana, a kiwi and some berries

METHOD OF PREPARATION:

1. Mix the flour with the baking soda and baking powder with a pinch of salt and carob powder. Add the vanilla essence, coconut oil, agave syrup and mineral water, little by little and mix with a blender, or mixer, until it reaches the desired consistency. It should be thicker than normal pancakes.

2. Heat a non-stick pan and put a polish from the pancake mixture. We spread the pancake by tilting the pan to one side. We check with a spatula, and when it is baked, we turn it on the other side. Do the same with all the pancakes and leave them to cool.

3. For the cream, mix the carob powder with the peanut butter and add a little milk until it becomes like a cream.

4. Grease each pancake with carob cream, and garnish with sliced ​​berries, banana and kiwi on top.

  • 50 grams of melted butter
  • a few slices of bacon
  • an envelope of vanilla sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • half a teaspoon of baking soda
  • salt

Method of preparation

Beat the eggs together with a pinch of salt and sugar with a mixer or a whisk. The composition must be frothy. Separately, mix in a bowl the flour with baking powder and baking soda. In a double-bottomed saucepan, put the sugar, cocoa and then water and broken chocolate pieces, place the saucepan on the steam bath and let it boil in two, three boils, remove the saucepan, put the essence and butter and mix well until the butter it melts, let it cool enough so that we can pour it into the jar.


American blueberry pancakes

The difference between normal and American pancakes is that the latter have baking powder in the composition. They grow while being fried and are very fluffy. The dough can be flavored with different ingredients: vanilla, lemon peel, poppy seeds, blueberries, orange. I prefer blueberries and lemon peel for my pancakes and serve them with honey. This recipe has no sugar at all !! It goes well for mornings when you have time to prepare a sweet and hearty breakfast.

Because the dough has fruit around it, it will be softer and juicier. Blueberries crack when heated and release the juice. You can fry them longer if you want. Pancakes will not be raw, I assure you, just softer, like any fruit dessert. The original recipe was for double the amount. I chose to make fewer pancakes though. If you also want a more normal amount and do not want to eat twenty pancakes, follow the quantities in the recipe below.

for 6 pancakes

100 gr. White flour
1/2 tbsp. baking powder
a pinch of salt
grated peel of half a lemon
1 medium egg, beaten
150 ml. milk
1/2 tbsp butter
75 gr. fresh blueberries
frying oil
blueberries and honey to serve

Preparation time: approx. 10 minutes + 15 minutes for frying

Melt the butter and leave it to cool.

In a bowl, sift the flour and baking powder. Add salt and grated lemon peel. Stir.

In another bowl, beat the egg, add the milk and beat everything a little, with the aim.

Finally, add the blueberries and the cooled butter to the pancake composition. Stir.

Heat a little oil in a pan. The pan should not be heated because the pancakes are burning. For something so delicate, you need a medium-small flame or 3-4 step. We adjust according to how hard we think the pan has heated up.

Using a polish or a measuring cup, pour the pancake batter into the pan. The pancake is ready to turn when small bubbles begin to appear on the surface. It takes about 2-3 minutes. With a spatula, turn the pancake and fry the other side, which is ready faster. Repeat until we have no more dough.

Place the pancakes on top of each other in a plate and serve with fresh blueberries and honey.

American Pancakes Recipe

We propose below the most traditional recipe for preparing original American pancakes. I made them at home and the result is more than delicious. Are you happy?

Recipe: American pancakes with pumpkin

INGREDIENT:

  • 150-200 gr. cow's milk or soy
  • 200 gr. white flour (I include 1-2 tablespoons of wholemeal)
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1-2 tablespoons coconut sugar or honey
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 6 tablespoons pumpkin puree

In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, salt, sugar and cinnamon. In a large bowl, mix milk, eggs, melted butter, honey (optional) and pumpkin puree.

The dry ingredients are gradually incorporated into the liquid ones. Leave the dough for 5-10 minutes or even overnight (if you need to prepare them in the morning).

Bake the pancakes on a pan (greased with a drop of oil) over medium heat. Pour a tablespoon of dough for each pancake and bake for 3-4 minutes or until bubbles begin to appear, then turn with a spatula. 3-4 pancakes fit in a pan.

Serve the pancakes while hot with honey, jam or maple syrup. If not all of them have been eaten, keep them in a bowl with a lid.
